Building a house/a city
Students from 4th grade studied English vocabulary about places in the city and math´s contents to plan a city and construct a mockup. Students took measurements to cut trips of paper and make folds to obtain different geometric solids. At the end the students analyzed several elements/details of the geométric solids.

In March, from 14th to 18th, to mark Pi Day and International Mathematics Day, at our school, several activities were carried out and involved students from fifth to ninth grades. 15 students from 7th grade and 17 from 8th grade built pyramids and cubes to create coat and the other students created fashion accessories (necklace and keychain) busing the pi and created a wedding dress, within the scope of the topic “Math and Applied Arts: Fashion”

Mathematics is a very important science that we can easily find in the objects around us. In fact, objects have three dimensions: length, width and depth. Each dimension can be measured, that is, compared to a unit of measurement. The objects that surround us come in a variety of ways and someone had to think about their form/function and aesthetics. This is where art comes in! The artist thinks, creates, designs and executes. Designers are those who have this difficult task that involves the creation process. Following this line of thought, the students (from 1st and 2nd grades) each built their own chair, using waste materials, glue and tape. The “Chair Rex” PowerPoint supported and inspired the students and teachers involved.

Workshop ,,Fashion”. During integrated Math-Technology&Design lessons 5-7 grade students applied their Math knowledge while creating various style costumes for women&men. The aim of the lesson was to design and create a costume using different geometrical shapes. Students improved their communication, creativity, initiative, and subject matter competencies. An exhibition has been organized in the school lobby. So students, teachers, and school guests had an opportunity to admire these wonderful&amazing costumes.
Workshop ,,Design”. During integrated Math-Technology lessons students applied their mathematics knowledge and created different items of furniture using various geometrical shapes. chairs; benches; tables; shelves, items for the bathroom. Students have improved their skills&habits working with jigsaw; they have deepened their grinding and varnishing skills. They have revised area calculation formulas and applied them in practice.
Workshop ,,Building a house”. During integrated Math, Art & Technology lessons students applied their mathematical knowledge and built houses using 14x14x14 cm cardboard cubes and decorated them with national colour (red-green-yellow) geometrical shapes (square; oval; circle, triangle; rectangular). Students have been divided into four groups: architects - construction workers, decorators, door-window specialists, landscape architects. Five different cardboard houses have been designed, built, and decorated with various coloured geometrical shapes.
